As per usual, my words may ruffle some feathers but it’s all to raise awareness and enlighten those who may be unaware, in service/dedication to the truth and because I wouldn't be an Aquarius if I didn't.
A few years ago, I started to notice an increase in the amount of spiritual gurus and manifestation/mindfulness coaches on YouTube and social media in general. I myself, follow some very well-known spiritual gurus because their words have both inspired and enlightened me and will most likely continue to, throughout my own evolution. But what people have to remember is, these men are just that, men. They may possess a certain aura of mysticism or holy quality but at the end of the day, they are people just like you and I. It’s important to not get lost in idolatry and we should only look to such people as a guide along our paths. They are not telling us anything we don't already know in our hearts or that we are not able to ascertain for ourselves. Also, not all holy men are great, as we've seen within the church and as I have observed with my own eyes within the spiritual community. I won't mention them by name, but even I have been fooled by the more modern-day spiritualists and gurus who make excessive amounts of money by telling you that you can manifest and have anything you want! Unlock the secret to being happy! This is the quickest way to enlightenment! Take my course, join my group, etc. These are the ones I have a problem with. I only spoke up once when it came to this issue online and the backlash I received from the devotees was let’s say, less than loving. Things like how ‘I had no faith’ and ‘how dare I challenge this person and speak blaspheme!’ Like, guys, calm down. I'm on your side!
I’m just not the type to sit idly by and let people swindle others out of their money, time and resources because they're lost and don't know any better. I don't care who you are. I'm scared of a lot of things, but calling things as they are and calling people out, if need be, are not amongst them. I should write about the time I found a spiritual cult right here in my hometown! I have so many stories. But I digress.
I think it’s wrong and misleading to tell people that they can do, manifest and create anything they want.
Here's why.
- They don't know your current level of consciousness or growth level as a person
- They don't know about any potential blocks or outside interferences you may be dealing with
- They don't know your birth chart (I will explain why this is important)
- They don't know YOU, period.
- What if something is not God's will? even if it's something we really want? This can also be factored in depending on your beliefs.
Okay, before I explain, let me start by saying that God rarely puts a dream in our hearts with no intention of fulfilling it. But, there are certain things that you or I will never have or experience in this lifetime and it's not because we’ve done anything wrong or because our chakras aren't aligned.
For example, astrology, regardless of how people may feel about it, is the best secret tool to figuring out more about ourselves and why we are the way we are. It can tell us things such as what area our life purpose may be in, what drives us, what obstacles we’ll face in life and karmic lessons to be worked through. It can also tell you your assets, your wealth, how big a family you will have and so on and so on. So, before you go telling people that they can do and have anything their heart desires does their chart support it? Are there any debilitations? What remedies can be used to strengthen the planet's placement? Astrology is also good at predicting what year/age something will happen or be achieved. So you may be working on a goal or focused on a certain area of your life at the wrong time.
AND
even if a person wanted to manifest as an example, let's say, generational wealth, but a certain planet is debilitated in their chart or in the wrong house for it. It would make it extremely difficult to fulfill that dream. You may make enough money in your life to financially support your family and maybe even extended family and live comfortably but because of some other planeteray aspect, you won't be able to build lasting wealth for future generations. Especially if it's not supported in your chart. You'd be doing a lot of work for nothing, possibly. This is what makes astrology so fascinating and important. If you feel called to dive into astrology, I highly recommend you do so.
I also believe in planting seeds for the future. So even if not ALL the dreams we have or goals we set won't/can't necessarily manifest in this lifetime, there's always the next. Maybe some of the work we put in or feel called to do now will serve as dues paid in the next, making it that much easier to gain in the next. I think that's entirely possible. Of course these are only my observations and beliefs. I'm not saying that our dreams aren't possible, all I'm saying is, just because it's possible doesn't mean it’s meant to be. And as per my 5th argument, stated above, what if it's just not in the cards? What if it's something God doesn't approve of? I mean, there are a lot of things that we’re capable of but it doesn't mean we should do them, right? But again, who am I to say for sure? Miracles happen everyday! This is just my example of how there are many factors to take into consideration and of how it's not so cut and dry, or easy as some people make it out to be.
The growing number of false light beings making their way into the spiritual community is genuinely concerning. Spritual narcissism of the grandest kind (see my last blog post about this) and an increase of people wearing spirituality as an identity, creating false/fake personas surrounding what it means to be spiritual or enlightened only to make money off people, hyper-focusing on servicing the needs of the ego (how to make more money, attract the ideal partner etc) and posting cookie cutter, copy & paste, highly relatable content but also nothing that we haven't heard before, just to gain clients or clout, to fulfill the needs of their ego and at the same time, leading others astray, is not in short supply. These people are feeding off our praise, our comments, and our engagement with them. Please, use discernment, my friends. You can typically tell who is who but let’s just say, glamour magic is real. But that's a topic for another day.
These people are purposely drawing others in with these buzzwords, taking their money, not telling them the entire truth and catering to our ego/wounds of needing/wanting to either be better or do better and of not being or doing enough in life and then expect others to blindly follow them and take on their ideals as their own. They believe that what has worked for them based on their personal experiences is what will suit or be best for everyone when something so personal as someones spiritual process or how they choose to navigate their life experience cannot possibly be so easily applicable for every being on the planet. They will tell you what you want to hear but not what you need to hear, keeping you coming back for more advice, more information, leaving you dependent on them to help dictate your choices. All the while, gatekeeping the truth and real answers that you are looking for.
We cannot impose our experiences on others we can only guide them through their own. We need and want to allow people to reach their own conclusions, in their own time and in their own way as far as what's best for them, their life and for future generations.
I understand that these people need to make a living but it’s predatory. There's nothing wrong with charging for your time, and services if you are genuinely helping people in strengthening their faith, supporting or aiding them along their journeys of becoming better versions of themselves but if you are genuine and truly devoted through God, to serving your fellow man/woman you don't need to lure people in with such obvious marketing schemes and tiptoeing around or disregarding the real work that it takes to create these things. Because at the end of the day, we can wish, hope, pray, recite as many affirmations and make as many vision boards as we want but if we don't put in the necessary work? Well, vision without execution is hallucination.
You are your own guru. Everything you need is already within you. Nothing is outside of you. The answers you seek are already within. If you have trouble accessing them or knowing them, that’s okay. It’s okay to not know and to ask questions or for advice. But please don't put your complete trust and faith in these modern-day gurus and spiritualists who know nothing about you. They are not God. Only God knows what is best for us. When we find ourselves searching for answers in or from others, we have to admit that we’re already lost and call on our Creator to lead us back home, back to the truth of ourselves. Because only those who are disconnected from themselves, their intuition, higher selves and their Creator search for answers or things outside of themselves. That’s why we need to make sure that those who are lost are going to the right people who will direct them back to their soul’s truth. It’s no man/woman left behind out here. We’re all in this together. I want to see everyone succeed but as much as I love hyping others up and seeing others prosper and grow, I also want to make sure that people are not under any illusions because there is no substitute for the truth.
If you need guidance along your life path, please make sure to use discernment and that the guidance you’re receiving is trustworthy, genuine, and serves your best and highest good because at the end of the day, you know what's best for you. I urge everyone to question the things that don't sit well or resonate with their spirit, no matter who’s mouth it's coming out of. This is what it means to be a sovereign being and is the birthright of all God’s people.
Much love,
🌹Melissa🌹
