For those who may not know, I’m a life path 7. But before we get into what that means, and for those who don’t know what a life path is, let me explain.
A life path number is a single-digit number from 1 to 9 (plus the master numbers 11, 22 and 33) in numerology calculated from your birth date that is supposed to reveal your life's challenges, strengths, and purpose. It's considered a significant number in a person's numerology chart, offering insight into their personality, ambitions, and the lessons they are meant to learn.
The other day, I was thinking about how much I’ve learned along my path so far. But as it so happened, a download came through while I was pondering on a certain aspect of my journey that led me to write this post. You see, life path 7 is the seeker. The mystics, the gurus, the stoics, the occultists, the philosophers, the students of the universe. Our thirst for knowledge knows no bounds and we strive to understand the mysteries of the universe and existence. A lot of life path 7s are considered loners. Think Virgo energy, which is represented by The Hermit in the Tarot. You’ll usually find us in our happy place at home, with our noses in a book. Many of us enjoy studying, learning, writing, teaching, meditating, and praying. We enjoy our solitude, but we also tend to isolate a bit too much and find ourselves feeling out of touch with those around us and others in general. We kind of live in our own little world.
At first, I was convinced I knew what it meant to be a life path 7 and what I needed to do to achieve success along my path. But I soon found out that I had a lot more to learn and was redirected numerous times over the years. In the beginning, I thought my path was about being able to quote the great stoics, gurus, and philosophers. I thought about all the books I’d have to read and felt the more I knew and absorbed, the better. And while reading great books like the Bhagavad Gita, The Tao Te Ching and The Bible proved to be invaluable, I found myself often exhausted and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of knowledge and density of these texts. It became more of a burden and I soon found myself forgetting a lot of the information I had just consumed. In school, I remember our teachers and parents telling us that the more we studied, the better we’d do on our tests. So naturally, this became my approach to my life path as well. But it wasn't working like it did in school. Even back in my school days, there were kids I remember, who would study all night only to forget everything by the I time we took our tests. As for me, I would be able to retain the information long enough to do well on the test but then forget everything as soon as I began to learn something new.
Then it dawned on me! We’re not meant to retain information in this manner, and this is on purpose. Think of it this way; if we are energy and energy is in constant flux, then holding onto information, which is also energy, will only keep us stagnant and stuck. We’re not meant to retain such things for long we’re simply meant to act as conduits for it to flow in. Think of yourself as a supercomputer, that has access and the ability to download information by tapping into the energies of the universe at all times. If all knowledge comes from the One and we are part of the One, then everything we need to know is always accessible, even things we haven't learned yet or have no previous knowledge of. We simply need to allow ourselves to become a clear channel for the information to be received. Once this was made clear, I put the books down and started to work on purifying my energy and on becoming a clear channel for information and knowledge to flow through. This is how people can pull information from the Akashic Records and even powers/gifts from other lifetimes and timelines.
Plus, when we think of all the books that have been written over the years, particularly about spirituality, there’s nothing new that anyone can write because it's already all been said just in different ways and from different perspectives. This is because, the knowledge that we seek is already within us. Access to higher levels of consciousness/awareness is not reserved solely for gurus, ascended masters and saints. All we need to do is open ourselves up to receiving that which we seek.
On numerous occasions I've found myself in conversation with someone and found myself at a loss for words because I wasn't familiar with the particular subject, only to have the correct information come through, as if by magic, to what I was speaking of. It’s because, I was able to tap in and allow the information to flow to me, without needing to open a book or look anything up on my phone/computer. Now, opening oneself up to the higher dimensions/states of consciousness can be frightening and can also call in a lot of unwanted energies. So one must be careful and make sure to stay grounded. If you walk around with your head in the clouds all the time you’ll run the risk of entering spiritual psychosis, which some people do suffer from.
If we go back to what I was saying about Virgo, Virgo is the Virgin and as I mentioned, is represented by the Hermit. The Hermit seeks not just enlightenment but illumination. He is enlightened to that which is hidden but has always been in plain sight. His journey is guided by the light of source along his path. Meaning, if we are open and connected to source, we will surely find the answers we seek. There's a lot we can learn from Virgo on this path because the Virgin represents the purity of energy and spirit one needs to achieve true enlightenment but also the practicality as an Earth sign, to take the wisdom and knowledge attained and ground it into reality. Not just this, but Virgo teaches us how to practically apply this knowledge and wisdom to use in our everyday lives. Because knowledge without proper application is useless.
As I said before, one can quote as many texts, gurus and philosophers as one likes but it doesn't mean they understand what they are quoting. You see this a lot within the spiritual community; people quoting certain texts or having knowledge in a particular area or niche but when it comes to applying that knowledge and information to their daily lives, they fall short. To be fair, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with quoting people or specific texts especially in context to a particular topic you may be speaking about but there's a difference between those who quote to carry a conversation and those who quote because they understand, apply and live by it. Spiritual narcissism is sadly, also prevalent these days. So it’s important to be aware and discerning about any advice or knowledge we may receive whether from others or through any downloads/messages we may receive. Remaining rooted in and knowing who you are, having a healthy moral compass and knowing what you stand for helps.
This journey has consistently humbled me and almost every time I thought I knew the path ahead, the path would suddenly change, yet again.
But this is the path my soul has chosen in this lifetime, and I intend to do my best by continuing to learn, grow, and adapt to it. It’s not always easy, as each new level brings with it new devils and more things to transmute, transform, transcend and overcome. But the path is hardly ever straight, no matter what path you are on. Still, I hope this has given any who read it something to think about. I feel we all have something to learn from each other and our unique paths, and today, I felt like sharing a bit of mine.
May your journey be fruitful and your path safe and blessed.
